SUMMER ESSENTIALS | FOR HIM & HER

rituals

Am I the only one ready for Summer?

I feel like this year will be one of those where the warm and sunny days are scarce. Su-un, where are you? And as I'm typing this there's a thunderstorm outside.

But anyways! With or without the sun, we should always wear sunscreen, especially on the face and so today I bring you some of my personal recommendations for this Summer.

sun glasses

I feel like a lot of people don't know the brand Komono and, honestly, I don't know how that is possible. I pretty much am completely in love with e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g that they have and if my wallet allowed me I would have a huge collection by now (working on it though!).

I've had these sunglasses for over two years now and I simply love them. They are the model Renee Black Tortoise and I like the fact that they fit both men and women just as good (as many of the products Komono has to offer).
I have a huge crush on men accessories and I always gravitate towards the men section when it comes to sunglasses, watches and, especially, bags and backpacks.

Speaking of watches, I got this one as a gift for David a couple of years ago. It's the Winston Blue Cognac model and it is super simple but classy and sober at the same time. It really brings a pop of something-something to an outfit and I love to see it on him.

komono

I started using the Rituals Sun Protection Face Cream and the Aftersun Hydrating Lotion last year and I've been loving them since then.

I particularly like to use the sun protection face cream on the daily basis, before my moisturizer. It is very light weighted, easily absorbed and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy at all.

For an extra fresh sensation after a warm sunny day, I like to place the aftersun lotion in the fridge for a couple of minutes, before applying it to my skin. Has any of you ever tried this trick before?

sun block

Now for the body, I completely adore this Sun Care Oil Spray from Clarins (as you can see the bottle is almost empty). It is hands down my favorite so far.

I am pretty picky when it comes to sunscreens, and I like this one because it is a dry oil that never feels sticky, it smells amazingly good, doesn't stain my clothes or leaves the white marks on my body and it is easily absorbed by the skin. It has a 2 in 1 formula that not only protects the skin but also the hair, which is always a plus.
My hair tends to get very easily damaged in the Summer and this definitely helps to protect it from the aggressions. David also uses it and he likes it a lot. Another big plus of this oily formula is that he can easily apply it to his head since he shaves his hair and needs that extra protection now.

I also love the SPF40 Face Cream from Clinique. This one I particularly like to use when I am going to the beach or swimming pool and need a higher protection, or on the days that I'm not wearing makeup and know that I'll be in the sun a lot.

Any idea on what will be your summer essentials this year?

Shame on me. Mas já fui espreitar *-* Os teus óculos são super giros! Acho que me apaixonei por alguns modelos lá no site! Também adoro protetores que não deixem aquela sensação "sticky", estou a precisar de renovar o stock!
