WEEKEND VIBES | TULIP FESTIVAL

I have been thinking about starting this new feature here on the blog where I share some bits and pieces of my weekends with you guys. Let me know if you'd like to see that!
I think it can be fun to do something more personal, more like old-school blog style among the other content, and will definitely make me use my camera a lot more, which is always a plus!

What better way to start this than representing a bit of The Netherlands at this time of the year. That's right - Tulips! Fields full of them.

There's this festival here in Flevoland where once per year, for a couple of weeks you can do a trip around the tulips fields. Most fields are just for walking, taking pictures and simply appreciate the colorful landscape, but there's also some fields where you can pick your own tulips, there's a tulip garden where you can see pretty much all kinds of tulips there is and you can also visit the space organized by them with some fun activities, tulip shop, coffee and all that good stuff.

You can even do a route by bike, but because the weather was not inviting this year we decided to do 100km by car instead. We stopped at Lemmer for lunch, which is a pretty cute village with friendly people. We had a nice pizza at Pizza Lovers restaurant, which let me tell you has the best service in Holland. Ever! The space itself is lovely and the pizza was great too. Definitely recommend trying if you're in the area!

After this, we headed home and on the next day we went to the Science Center Nemo in Amsterdam and spend some time with our friends at the Hannekes Boom catching up and getting some vitamin D into our systems. I left my camera at home that day but if you follow me on Instagram, you know what I'm talking about because I shared a lot of it via the Instagram stories.
