LANCÔME | FACE CLEANSING

Lancôme makeup remover

By now, we all know how much I love skincare and sharing my opinion on products that I am passionate about. These two are no exception and I am here to tell you why they became a part of my beauty routine like love at first sight.

To start off, let me tell you that my skincare routine is pretty basic and simple when compared to other ladies, because, let's face it - I am the queen of laziness. But also because of that, finding products that are effective is a must for me.

I got these two products from Lancôme a while back when I went to the UK for the first time. I had never tried this brand before, and I don't really know what got into me at the time but I decided to treat myself a little something-something and I can only thank my impulse. You can also find more about the other products I got over here on this post, in case you're interested (spoiler alert: It's makeup).

Lancôme Bi-Facil

Lancôme Bi-Facil eye makeup remover

I tried many different eye makeup removers in the past. I even tried diverse micellar waters for the same effect, but sadly all of them make the skin around my eyes burn and eventually dry and itchy.

In case you don't already know, the skin around our eyes is the most sensitive and it is very important to take care of it carefully. I am always apprehensive when it comes to eye products, because, either you want it or not, eventually, some of it will get inside your eyes and that scares the crap out of me.

Even though the formula of this product dissolves even waterproof mascara it was built for sensitive eyes and with people who wear contact lenses in mind, which I find great! Even better it is ophthalmologically approved. Pweh!

It is a double action eye makeup remover. Not only it takes all traces of your eye makeup but it also conditions the skin around your eyes. I do not use any eye cream (Told you - lazy!) and the fact that this hydrates the skin is, personally a plus.

All I do is shake up the bottle so that all the components mix up together, place a bit on a cotton pad, place it on my eyes, leave it for a couple of seconds and then gently massage it to remove the eye makeup. I repeat these steps until my eyes and eyebrows are completely makeup-free.

It leaves a very fresh, clean and nourishing feeling that I love and the best - It doesn't burn at all! I truly love it and it simply became my favorite eye-makeup remover of all times in a blink of an eye! (See what I did there? haha!)

Lancôme Gel Éclat

When it comes to face cleansers, I like to switch up from time to time. At least until I find the perfect one.

I use two different cleansers for my face, one for the morning (more like a gel base) and this one for the end of the day. I love to use this one especially when I am wearing makeup because it has such a rich formula.

At first, it has an extremely sticky and strong texture, almost like glue in a way, but it dissolves into a creamy foam when you add water to it. It is very gentle and leaves my skin deeply clean and helps brighten up my complexion, which I love!

The way I like to use it is, after removing my makeup with the Lancôme Bi-Facil eye makeup remover and the Biodermal Micellar Water, I pass my damp hands all over my face just to give it a little bit of moisture (I know a lot of you hate this word, sorry!). Then, I just take a little bit of the Lancôme Gel Éclat and work it with my fingers before spreading it all over my face and neck.

Because I don't use a lot of water at first, it kind of creates a resistance to spreading, but I find that it cleanses my face better this way. Then I add a little bit of water and work the foam for a couple of seconds and remove everything with my Soft Facial Sponge from The Body Shop. I love this sponge so so much ever since I found it, but I'll get more into it later in a different post, in case you're interested.

Lancôme Bi-Facil

If you are in the market for a face cleanser, definitely give this one a try. Especially if you have combination to oily skin. Don't forget to moisturize afterward!

I also find that a little goes a long way with this product. I have been using it for months and it feels like I will not end it before it will expire. But even then, if you find it a bit too much on the expensive side of the spectrum I recommend you to try the Creamy Foam Cleanser from Rituals. I find them both similar in texture and results, so if you want to try something more affordable before jumping with both feet, you might like it.

Have you ever tried any of these products? Let me know what you think and if there's any other you'd recommend down below in the comments. I would love to know your recommendations!
