SIMPLE WALL ART

A FUN DIY TO DO WITH KIDS

A few months ago, I decided to renew my daughter's room and put some stuff up on the walls.
After receiving this two cute prints, the first thing that came to my mind was how to display them in a proper way, and so this DIY was born.
This tone of rusty red is one of my favorite colors. It is bold because of its warm tone, but still delicate due to the pastel kind of shade.
The room is mostly decorated in black and white, and despite a couple of small colored details, I think this really created the "pop" effect I was looking for in her room without making it too much.

DIY with Kids

It is super simple to do, and cheap since you won't be needing too many materials. I think this is also a nice activity to do with your kids. I know for sure I would like to do this back then if you'd ask me!

You will need:
  • String
  • Twig
  • Scissors
  • Yarn

Now, the only things you'll need to do are:
To cut a couple of strings of yarn with the maximum length you would like this piece of art to have.
One by one, tighten the strings to the twig by making a larks head knot.

Keep making knots and pulling them together.
You can switch to a different color and create the pattern that is more pleasant for you.

Once you complete filling most of the twig, place everything flat on top of a table, and with the help of a ruler, or anything you want to use, start cutting the yarn into the shape you want.

Once it is all done, use the string to hang it on the wall, and ta-dan! - A new cute piece of art has arisen to make your walls a bit happier.
Hope you enjoyed it!
