THE ART OF THE PERFECT SHAVING

Rituals Samurai collection

I've been addicted to Rituals' products ever since the first store opened in Lisbon. There's something in the smell that pulls me to another dimension of tranquility and satisfaction.
With that being said, of course, I had to influence David to become a Rituals lover as well, and I am so happy that I succeeded!
Now, not only I get to visit the store more often, I also get to smell the beautiful scents from Rituals in him as well. It doesn't get better than that!
Rituals face scrub

OK, so you heard me ramble about beauty products for women before when in fact, I know that a lot of you are men. So I thought that it would be nice to share with you some of David's favorite shaving products.

For all the ladies out there, don't go away just yet. Grab a tea and hang around. Perhaps this is a great gift idea to offer to your loved one, father, brother, a friend on Valentine's day. Hmm? They will smell amazing. Just saying!

One thing that I find super important and helpful is to prepare the skin before shaving. Now you are all thinking "Yeah but you don't shave your face, how do you know about this?". Well, I don't, that's true. But I do shave way more parts of my body and believe me I know about shaving! Ha!
I managed to convince David of the benefits of scrubbing before shaving. If you do it with warm water the effect is even better. Scrubbing will help you not only to open the pores for a closer shave but to get rid of a lot of the dead skin cells, making your face way softer and thus more easy to pass the razor on. There's also the benefit of helping the hair growing, avoiding ingrown hairs in the future.
You can use a facial scrub every so often, like two to three times per week. But remember to be gentle and not to make a lot of pressure while rubbing it onto your skin.
This Samurai Scrub has Japanese wakame and bamboo and smells super refreshing. I use it once in a while myself and I love it. Shhh. Don't tell him.
If you're looking for an everyday face wash, I recommend the Samurai Cleanse Face Wash instead. It comes out as a soft foam and is very gentle on your skin.
Samurai Magic Shave

After a good scrub and washing off your face with a warmed cloth, you're ready to start shaving.
Now, this part, I don't know much about because I never tried this shaving cream, but I can tell you that ever since David tried it for the first time he has never changed to another one. So I'm guessing it is pretty good. It smells nice, at least, and has a lightweight consistency. I can tell you that much.

This Samurai Magic Shave has Ginseng and Basil to help to moisturize the skin while shaving, giving it a smooth touch.
You should apply it to damp skin evenly and, after shaving, rinse it off with warm water.

Gillette Fusion

For the actual shave, this Gillette Fusion ProGlide was the first razor that I heard David talking about, and I mean it looks super high-tech. How come there's nothing like this for us women I wonder. It is super flexible and adapts to all the shapes of your face. Maybe I'll buy one of these for myself actually.
Rituals after shave

OK, so last but not least comes the Samurai Shave Repair. It contains basil, tiger grass among other things that will help to calm and sooth the face after shaving. It smells very good, and because it is a lotion, the scent will last on your skin. Believe me when I tell you that they're going to love it guys.
If you'd like to try these products out before actually buying the full size, I recommend you to get this Perfect Shave Gift Set. It has all the three products in a mini size that will last you long enough for you to fall in love with them.
