DREAMY HOT CHOCOLATE

THE THICK HOT CHOCOLATE RECIPE FOR ADULTS ONLY

hot chocolate recipe
What's best after a long crispy walk than getting home to a warm cup of hot chocolate? Thick Hot chocolate!
I am not a big fan of milk, I just find it kind of funny and gross. And because of that I never fully appreciated hot chocolate as well. That was until I found a way of making a real hot chocolate. A thick hot chocolate, so thick that it becomes more like a hot pudding kinda thing. And that is just the way I like it!
So I found a way of making hot chocolate thick, great thing. But even better was when I decided to spice it up a bit by adding nutmeg, cinnamon and Port's wine. Suddenly *BAM* Upgrade!
This is the perfect drink to cozy up when it's cold outside.
ingredients for hot chocolate
All that you need per each cup is:
  • 4 tablespoons of Cocoa
  • A cup of milk of any kind you prefer
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 (or 2 if you're feeling fancy) tablespoons of Port's wine

Pour the milk into a pan and take it to medium heat. Once it gets warm enough, start adding the sugar and stir until it gets dissolved. Then mix the cocoa, the cinnamon and the nutmeg and keep stirring until it gets all combined.

Extra tip: If you're using an electric or ceramic stove, you can turn it off at this stage and just use the heat from the plate. Always stirring, start adding the flour gently. Once you feel the mix getting thicker, or getting the consistency that you want, take it out of the stove and pour it into your mug.

You can add a bit more of cinnamon, nutmeg and icing sugar on top just to give it a little extra something-something. And if you're really feeling it, place some marshmallows, nuts or spicy cookies on top.
