HOW I DEAL WITH STRESS

In the last couple of years, I became quite a stressed person. And that's actually what made think of ways to deal with this big freaking monster.
I can say for a fact that I am a much calmer and balanced person since I became more aware of what was causing me stress and how could I combat it.
So here it is. I hope it helps some of you as well.
Everyone who knows me and actually spends time with me knows how much I love to sigh. It is actually a very good way for me to release any sort of frustration or stress and every time I do it, even though it is unintentional, it somehow helps me to calm down. As if I was putting whatever that was making me upset behind my back, little by little throughout the day.

how to deal with stress

Drinking more water helps me to not only feel better about myself because my body is hydrated and my brain can function better, but it also gets all my toxins out. If my body is feeling good I will feel better too and this will impact my humor and therefore make me be less affected by stuff. Not to mention more time for myself (even though it's in the toilet).
Eat every couple of hours. I don't mean a meal but just a healthy snack. Again for the same reason as drinking more water, I learned that when I feel hungry my body is already in that stressed state that will make me feel grumpy and so anything, and I mean really anything, will piss me off. So if I eat something from time to time I won't give my body the chance of getting into that bad mood stage and will actually become more alert, focused and be less annoyed by little things.
Dress comfortably and don't care about my look. Yes, clothes are like my second body so nothing makes me feel more annoyed when I am stressed than feeling uncomfortable in my second skin. And that lock of hair that keeps falling down on my face, ARGH! Hair up in a bun, loose t-shirt, leggings and, if I can, barefoot and here we go!

Music! Now that is very but very important. Really relaxing music, or if I need to focus because I am working I will opt for a chill-out or something happy like Mr. Scruff for example. This will not only set my mood up but will take my mind out of anything that was stressing me out.

Lush bubble bar lavender

At the end of a bad day, nothing feels better than treating me with a new product for my bath and... the actual bath. Just put my phone in mute, light the candles, prepare the bathtub, turn on some meditation music and soak in and forget the world. To me, this is life changing. Every time I do this ritual I leave my bathroom with a smile, super happy and relaxed. If you don't have a bathtub it's alright, a warm shower will do just fine, the important here is to allow yourself some time and do something that relaxes you.

Drinking tea! I love the ritual of preparing my tea, smelling it, get cozy and comfortable and enjoy a good cup of tea, especially at the end of the day after work.
And that's that guys!
Let me know in the comments if you have any special way of releasing stress.
