LIFE UPDATE

I feel like I'm (yet again) at this stage where I can't really go further with any other posts without having just a little chat with you first since it has been quite a while since I've shown my face around here. So this will be a short recap of what has happened in my life these past months, and oh boy, a lot has happened, let me tell you that!

So where should I even begin?

A couple of months into this year David and I decided that it was time to sell our house back in Portugal. After a lot of thinking and consideration, we grabbed our car and headed back to what it was our first home together. We spent about a month there, going through a lot of memories, cleaning it from our old stuff, selling and donating a bunch of other things we didn't even remember we had and packing all of the things we wanted to bring back home. It was both a very tough and exciting process. But with a touch of luck, we actually managed to sell the house way quicker than we thought. So after all things done and a good two weeks stay at our lovely friends' house, we headed back to Holland with a very full car.

Being in Portugal is always both nice and very stressful, so this time it was ten times each. At first, I illuded myself into thinking that being there for a bit over a month would spare me some time to visit all of my friends and family, but a couple of weeks into all the work and arrangements I realized that it would simply not happen, and sure enough apart from a couple of friends I wasn't able to see anyone. But oh well, next time we go there it will be in full holiday spirit and no more bureaucratic stuff to deal with (fingers crossed) Pfiu...

After the huge journey back home, and because we didn't really have had that much time to relax, we decided to take just a few days and travel to the UK, where we visited some family and had a nice day/night out just the two of us, which didn't happen in a very long time. It was super nice to actually spend some time alone for a change and be able to give our full attention to each other. David booked us a table at the restaurant The Man Behind the Curtain which we both totally recommend if you're into new experiences and truly appreciate the art of making (and eating) great food.

After a bunch of meetings and a few weeks of construction works, we finally completed some important renovations in our home, and we are super excited about it. A few are still to be completed, but I guess when you have your own house there's always something else to be done.

As if nothing couldn't be better, David will soon start another job and I don't think I have ever seen him more excited about it. I couldn't be happier and more proud of him!

Like a dessert, I saved the best for last. It still feels super weird saying this but... I'm pregnant, again! We'll soon be a family of four (well, six if you count with Einstein and Yoko). It is still a little bit early to tell if it is a girl or a boy, but we are over the moon with the news and can't wait to have a new baby in the family. This time around I'm planning on having a baby update every trimester or so since I missed doing that with the previous pregnancy.

And these were the main things going on in our lives lately. What have you been up to? I kind of missed you. Just a tiny bit ;)
