EMBARRASSING CHILDHOOD RANDOMNESS

Another week has past and I though it would be nice to share a little something with you that makes me laugh out loud every time I remember it.
These aren't just some random facts about me but instead, they prove how naive and kinda crazy I used to be as a child. It is funny to think how creative your mind can be as a kid, that you will not only believe everything a grown up will tell you but you will also make a whole story out of it in your head. That's at least until society ruins it for you!
Whilst most people would think of this moments as so embarrassing that would never be shared with anyone, I truly have fun with them, so I hope you do too!
  1. My grandpa used to tell me that carrots would make my eyes even more beautiful. In my understanding, this would mean that they would become either green or blue. So I would eat the carrots, run to my room to secretly stare in front of a mirror, close my eyes, wish very hard that they would change color and open them again. Guess what... Lot's of carrots eaten, many hours spent in front of a mirror and nothing's changed, they're still brown. Oh yes!
  2. My father and brother used to tell me that if I stayed hanging for a long period of time I would grow a lot and faster. Here we go again... Of course, because I always wanted to be taller, and despite the fact that they were joking with me all the time, I would hang from the bunk bed for as long as I could. Again, didn't make any difference. I'm still quite tiny.
  3. When I was six years old I joined the scouts believing that I was joining the army. Ignorance's a bliss (or not), I know! I won't even add more here.
  4. Every night I would wake up in the middle of the night to ask my mom for a glass of water. But because I was afraid that the monsters would hear me first and then be able to catch me in the dark, I would count until three in my head and then scream for my mother with all my lungs. Poor brother sleeping in the same bunk bed. If you're reading this, I'm sorry, but no regrets!
  5. I loved the adrenaline of feeling scared so no matter how many times people would tell me "do not to watch that movie" "don't open that magazine" "you'll not like this story" of course I would sneak out to watch horror movies and stick around to listen to the scary stories. I still remember the pictures of a horror comic book my brother had that made me wake up every night for weeks scared of the bad mad or "homem mau" as I used to call him. Totally worth it, though!
  6. I used to spend hours outside sitting on the potty while playing with Lego. I actually used to spend so much time doing so that I would get the potty' shape in my butt. I have a picture of this but instead, I'll leave you below a picture that everyone loves. And now you know exactly why I was smiling here.

Got a smile there? I sure hope so!
