Don't let the size of this beautiful spring rolls mislead you. I kid you not when I'm telling you that each of us had three rolls for lunch and were quite satisfied after finishing them.
- This is what you'll need to prepare this bad boys:
- Carrot
- Red onion
- Cucumber
- Parsley
- Meat (of if you prefer soy or seitan prepared)
- Garlic
- Rice paper wraps
- Sesame seeds
- Teriyaki sauce
First things first, slice the veggies thin. Cut some garlic and cook the meat or vegetarian option in a pan with the teriyaki sauce.
To prepare the rice sheets you can soak them individually into a boll with warm water for about one minute, or if you prefer to play it safe like me, soak a towel and place a sheet (do this one by one) in the middle of the towel. Close it and press it gently until the sheet is soft.
Once the sheet is ready, place the veggies in the middle, the meat on top of it and prepare to close the wrap.
To close it you only need to pull the sides together, pull the top as much as you can to the bottom and while gently pressing it pull the last side of the sheet together. Ta-dan! You've made some nice and tasty rolls!
Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top and enjoy it with some soy sauce.
