KØBENHAVN

Copenhagen

A couple of years ago we decided to go on a road trip around Iceland. But because my holidays took so long to be confirmed, we had to plan the trip in a less expensive way, and I am glad we did.
We left Amsterdam to spend one night in beautiful Copenhagen and then headed to Iceland, and our so much expected road trip, the next day.
It is as they say. This is truly the happiest nation on the planet. At least that I've seen so far. It is amazing that even in the most populated city of this amazing country people are as warm, coziest and nicer to you as possible. I just felt this urge to hug everyone on the street because they were so nice! Also, I can not emphasize how beautiful they all are, it is unbelievable. From babies to old people, passing by everyone, it is just crazy. One other thing I fell in love were all the design stores there. Looking at the shop windows and imagining that table or whatever in our living room.
Anyway, the city itself is great! We rented a night in a boat which ended up being super nice. Got there, took a walk around the city, took a rejuvenating nap on the boat, headed to the city again, had the best burgers and cider, visited Freetown Christiania, took many walks in the city and headed back to the boat to spend some hours sleeping before heading back to the airport for the best road trip ever.
Later on, I will show you some pics of our road trip. For now, you'll come along with me through the beautiful streets and canals of København. It is for sure a city that we will be visiting again, and that you should too.
